The 2nd part of turning the little keyboard ditty called 'Triumph' into the final version of the song 'One Will Hear The Other' was to get into the studio with the rest of the band and jam it out. Since it started out on keyboards I thought I'd take advantage of the Jupiter 6 that was in the room and plugged it into my amp. Karl played bass, Tom drums and Phil picked up his guitar.

we jammed for a little bit and Phil hit on playing 1 note over and over which was complimentary to everything Karl and me were playing so we stuck with that and worked on a basic arrangement so I could try out some vocal ideas.

listening back now it is a vastly different beast to where it ended up on the album but it reminds me how fun it was to do and makes me laugh every time I hear it especially the count in at the start with the 'this is the inaugural meeting of the Def Leppard tribute band - the best in the world!' which came about after reading an ad at the rehearsal space we were using that day for a guitarist needed for a Def Leppard tribute band

obviously the verses are different as we ended up using what was the 1st pre-chorus in this one as the verses in the final version but everything was pretty much there from this first jam (all the parts that is - not the arrangement)
